Martin Fowke with awards at the House of LordsThe Global Winery was set up by winemaker Martin Fowke in 2004. Martin has been involved in the wine industry for over 25 years. Winemaker at England's leading vineyard, Three Choirs, since 1989, and the 2008 UK Winemaker of the Year, Martin has developed a wide knowledge of wines from around the world, working vintages in different countries including Chile, Argentina, Bulgaria and of course England.

Using this experience and knowledge, The Global Winery Ltd. are now offering good quality wines from around the world. These are distinctive wines from individual wineries that you will not find widely available.

I have selected these wines because they are good, sound wines with great individual character, well made and representing good value for money. I would be pleased to see these wines in my cellar at home, and can therefore recommend them to a wider audience.

 South America in our opinion offers great value wines of a consistently high quality, and it is no coincidence that we list several Chilean and Argentinean wines. (The UK is also leading the way with some fantastic Sparkling wine, and the Chardonnay Pinot Sparkling wine is worthy of its listing.) South Africa is also an exciting opportunity and rapidly gaining worldwide recognition.
