Estate Bottled Wines: Aromo

The Aromo winery is a family owned winery in Maule valley in the southern section of the central valley of Chile. It was bought from a French company in 1940 by Victor Henriquez Solar, and now his sons are working to establish Vina el Aromo as one of the most respected in Chile. The winery are now featuring well in competitions around the world and are regularly awarded gold and silver medals for their wines.

Aromo Sauvignon Blanc:

A fresh, grassy nose leads into crisp fresh notes of gooseberry and citrus, with an underlying ripeness and a rounded finish.

Aromo Chardonnay:

An exotic freshness on the nose continues into tropical fruit and a delicious roundness on the palate, with a long clean finish.

Aromo Viognier:

Pale yellow with a green tint, intense nose of ripe apricots and tropical blossoms, fresh and lively on the palate with a mineral finish.

Aromo Rosé Merlot:

Vivid pink, with aromas of cherries and berries, luscious fruit in the mouth with pleasant acidity balanced with a hint of sweetness.

Aromo Cabernet Sauvignon:

A bright ruby red wine, with a nose of plums and berries intertwined with subtle hints of tobacco leaves, this comes through on the palate and the structure and tannic ripeness of this mature wine bestow delicate consistency and harmonious complexity.

Deep violet red in colour, this Merlot presents delicate spice and red fruit on the nose, leading to smooth, rounded tannins on the palate and a long

Deep garnet red, the nose has herbaceous, cherry and green pepper notes, on the palate there are ripe, velvet tannins and a stylish fruit finish.

Aromo Private Reserve:

This range of wines is made from the finest low yielding grapes produced at Aromo, giving intense fruit character and great complexity. These wines are frequently listed amongst award winners in international competitions.

Aromo Private Reserve Sauvignon Blanc:

Pale yellow with greenish hues, this wine features distinct floral and citrus aromas accented by light herbaceous notes typical of Sauvignon Blanc. It has a fresh gooseberry flavour with well balanced acidity and an elegant long finish.

Aromo Private Reserve Chardonnay:

Light golden in colour, perfectly balanced between fruity and floral aromas, tropical fruit, ripe melon, honey, hazelnuts and notes of vanilla from its oak barrel fermentation.

Aromo Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon:

Deep ruby red with potent red fruits, complex aromas of vanilla and chocolate and gentle notes of tobacco and leather typical of this variety. The rich and fruity palate features ripe rounded tannins and has well integrated oak, good structure.

Violet red colour, with subtle mineral spicy aromas and grassy notes blended with fine oak. In the mouth this balanced wine shows ripe tannins that contribute roundness and a good structure. Long lingering finish.

An intense ruby red wine with aromas of ripe blackberries, plums and cherries with some herbal and smoky notes. This wine is aged in French oak giving a well structured palate and very elegant tannins.

Aromo winemaker selection Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah:

Blend of a serious concentrated and spicy Cabernet Sauvignon and a young, flavourful and expressive
Syrah. This wine features an attractive purplish red colour, loaded with blackberry and cassis fruit on the palate.

Aromo Winemaker Selection Viognier Chardonnay:

An interesting blend that combines orange blossom aromas and ripe white peach notes of Viognier with the forward citrus notes of Chardonnay. The well-balanced acididty produces sweet and fresh sensations.

Artemisa Late Harvest:

Attractive golden yellow, clean and bright with rose petal fragrance bursting from the Muscatel grapes from which this delicious sweet wine is crafted. Complex body on the palate, with sophisticated balance of acidity, sweetness and pleasing honey tones.

A careful selection of grapes produce this deep garnet red wine with intense aromas of wild fruit and spice in harmony with tones of tobacco and vanilla which are the results of its maturation in French oak barrels.
